Distinguishing between stress-triggered and stress-amplified illness requires looking at patterns over time — not just individual episodes. Conditions that recur seasonally, or that correlate with specific household events, are pointing toward a trigger. Conditions that are consistent and non-episodic are more likely to be independent of stress.
